Rebrand for a settlement and integration services centre dedicated to welcoming newcomers in the Northwest Territories.

Client:

INTERCULTURAL CENTRE NWT

Intercultural Centre NWT, previously known as the “Welcome Centre for Newcomers,” serves as an all-encompassing settlement and integration services hub for newcomers in the Northwest Territories. Established in 2020 through a joint initiative between four partner organizations, the centre aims to streamline services offered to newcomers.

Their story:

  • Brand Identity: We helped the organization in crafting a name that reflects their vision. We designed a visual identity that embodies values of collaboration, partnership, and community connection. A detailed branding style guide was developed to help them define their brand, ensuring consistent and cohesive messaging across all marketing materials over the long term.

  • Marketing Tools: We created a suite of visually cohesive marketing templates that effectively communicate the centre’s values and empower them to design their own promotional materials.

We helped them with:

  • Connecting people and helping people feel connected is the core of the Centre’s mission. We proposed the name “Intercultural Centre NWT” as it not only conveys a diverse and multicultural community, but describes a community that values the sharing of traditional knowledge across cultures within that community.

  • The circle icon featured in the logo encompasses a mosaic of vibrant colours united into a single shape, symbolizing strength through connection, partnerships, and collaboration. This design represents the all-encompassing and client-centred nature of the organization.

  • The mosaic pattern visually represents the network of organizations, resources, and individuals working together, symbolizing community bonds and diversity.

  • The abstract sun is a representation of new beginnings, conveying qualities of confidence, hope, positivity, light, and clarity.
